The Wayne Theatre Alliance receives donation - September 6

The Wayne Theatre Alliance receives donations of all kinds - stocks, cash, services - and now they have received a portion of proceeds from an estate sale. The family of the late Gertrude M. Fendley have agreed to donate a portion of proceeds from a Sept. 15 sale to the Alliance.

Wayne Theatre Alliance board members Phyllis Pendergraft and J.D. Robb and a number of volunteers has been working with the family to box up items in advance of the auction.

"It is just wonderful to have someone with such great items hold a sale that will partially benefit the theatre alliance," said Pendergraft. "We have enjoyed working with them and think they will be proud of the contribution they are making to the entire community through this sale."

The estate sale features antiques, valuable person property, shop items and equipment, musical instruments and more. The sale will take place beginning at 9 a.m. on Sept. 15 at 513 Bader Avenue in Waynesboro.
