The Staunton Police Department is currently investigating an attempted breaking and entering that occurred at Planter’s Bank on West Beverley Street on September 7, 2007 at approximately 3:50am. An unknown subject attempted to break into the ATM machine using a crowbar. The suspect is a white male in his 40’s driving a mid-90’s white or silver GMC or Chevrolet full size pick-up.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Staunton Police Department at (540) 332-3842 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 322-2017. Anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.00.
