This morning at approximately 06:45 A.M., Waynesboro Police were summoned to an apartment located at 901 4th Street for a reported home invasion. Upon arrival officers were met by the male resident who reported that a young black male entered the unlocked front door of his apt. brandishing a black semi-automatic pistol. The complainant and another male present in the apt were then ordered to get on the floor and then to give the suspect their money. The complainant went upstairs and later threw down money which amounted to less than $200.00. The suspect picked up the money, ran out the door and around the corner of the building where he joined two other young black males who fled together towards Woosley Circle. The suspect who entered the Apt. is described as 5’7”-5’10” average build who was wearing black pants and shirt and had a black scarf covering his face. No injuries were reported and police collected evidence from the scene and adjacent areas which will be processed at the state crime lab.
