WAYNESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
MEDIA RELEASE
On 01/19/08 at approximately 0514am; the Waynesboro Emergency Operations Center received a call from the Days Inn located at 2060 Rosser avenue in reference to an armed robbery that had just occurred. The female caller stated that two Hispanic males wearing masks had just robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of money. One of the Hispanic males was reported to be armed with a handgun. Waynesboro Police Officers arrived at the scene within minutes and began to investigate the incident.
A Police K-9 from the Staunton Police Department arrived on scene at approximately 05:31am; and assisted Waynesboro Officers with the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
