Friday March 1, 2007 Donald E. Campbell, 73, of 25 Sidney Lane, Mt. Sidney, was found guilty on four counts of aggravated sexual battery and one count of forcible sodomy. His four victims ranged in age from 5 to 12 years old. Campbell had hired the children to do odd jobs like mowing his lawn and cleaning his taller. When they interd his trailer he would molest them. Campbell was also regular baby-sitter from June 2005 to May 2006 for two of the children that are brother and sister.
Campbell had been found out after one of the victims told her mother about the molestation. The mother then called police and the Virginia State Police investigated. Trooper Melody Parsons, headed up the investigation. Campbell was arrested on Sept. 9. The conviction could put Campbell in prison for life.
