Tuesday Feb. 6, 2007 – 2:45 pm A Dooms’ fire truck driven by Joshua Major traveling on the 600 block of N. Delphine headed south was involved in an accident with a 1984 Oldsmobile, driven by Marcus Thomas. When the accident occurred the truck was operating in Emergency mode because it was called to an earlier incident involving a tractor trailer on 250E. Mr. Thomas’ vehicle was heading on east on 4^th St. when it collided with the fire truck at the intersection of 4^th and N. Delphine striking the fire engine on a rear panel causing damage to the front end of the car. Mr. Thomas was taken to Augusta Medical Center with unknown injuries. The incident is still currently under investigation.
