WAYNESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
(Follow up to Homicide Investigation)
As reported earlier, the Waynesboro Police Department continues to investigate the homicide of Jay Bernard Butler that was discovered on May 3rd, 2007 at approximately 8:13pm at a residence located in the 300 block of Port Republic Road.
On May 7th, 2007 at approximately 3:43pm a Sheriff’s Deputy in Kern County California conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle that was believed to have been taken from Jay Butler’s residence. A wanted check was conducted by the Deputy on the vehicle and the occupants. After confirming the occupant’s identity, Natasha Maready and Brian James Roadcap were taken into custody without incident.
Waynesboro Police Department Detectives are currently preparing to travel to Kern County California to continue with the investigation.
