Stabbing Investigated
Waynesboro Police were called to the emergency room of Augusta Medical Center Tuesday night, April 17th, 2007 at around 11:00 P.M. for a reported stabbing.
Upon arrival officers encountered a 17 year old Waynesboro male victim who had been stabbed in the chest.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the stabbing occurred as the result of an altercation at an unknown location in the Parkway Village Apartment complex. This altercation had also been called into Police, but upon arrival officers were unable to locate any disturbance or participants. It is believed that this altercation was precipitated by an earlier domestic violence situation and that the parties may in both matters are related.
The victim was subsequently transferred to UVA where he was admitted. His condition was stable as of 04/18/07.
This case remains under investigation.
