The Staunton Police Department is currently investigating a robbery that occurred at 7-11 on North Coalter Street at approximately 3:20am on Friday, March16, 2007. A white male approximately 5’8”, 180 pounds, appearing to be in his mid 20’s, with short brown hair, assaulted the clerk and took a small amount of cash from the register. The suspect was wearing baggy jeans, a blue long sleeve t-shirt, white tennis shoes, and white work gloves.
The suspect fled the store on foot to a nearby parking lot where he was seen driving away in a newer model sedan, gold in color with tinted windows. The tail lights on the vehicle are described as one solid light assembly which stretched the entire width of the rear of the car.
The Staunton Police Department has obtained surveillance footage of the suspect. Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is encouraged to contact the Staunton Police Department at (540) 332-3842 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 322-2017. Anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.00.
