Staunton Police Department - August 17

On 8-17-07 the Staunton Police Department responded to a residence

on Frontier Drive to assist the Staunton Augusta Rescue Squad with an armed and barricaded patient. The patient was a 74 year old white male.

Following over three hours of negotiation with the patient, members of the Staunton Critical Incident Response Team utililized a chemical irritant and were

able to take the male into custody with no further incident.
