The regular Staunton City Council meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 28, 2007, has been cancelled. Mayor Lacy King Jr. said there were so few items for the scheduled session that the second June council meeting was unnecessary. Council normally meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month. However, matters to be considered by Council are frequently minimal during summer months and second meetings during the summer are sometimes cancelled.
The next scheduled meeting of the Council will be Thursday, July 12. All meetings are held in Council Chambers, first floor of Staunton City Hall, 116 West Beverley Street.
