LANE CLOSURES ON INTERSTATE 64 DUE TO BRIDGE CLEANING
STAUNTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation is scheduling alternating lane closures on Interstate 64 due to bridge cleaning Monday, June 18 through Thursday, June 28.
A lane closure is scheduled at mile marker 89.2 eastbound over Christians Creek on Monday, June 18 and Tuesday, June 19 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. A westbound lane will be closed at mile marker 89.2 Wednesday, June 20 and Thursday, June 21 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Monday, June 25 and Tuesday, June 26 a lane closure is scheduled eastbound at mile marker 96.4 over South River from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. A westbound lane closure at mile marker 96.4 is scheduled for Wednesday, July 27 and Thursday, July, 28 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Motorists should be alert for signs directing them through the work zone since the lane closures will alternate as workers move to different locations on the bridges.
