Abduction/ Robbery
A 32 year old Stuarts Draft woman reported to Augusta County Sheriff’s Deputies and Waynesboro Police that her boyfriend abducted her at gunpoint in their Brittany Lane apartment and subsequently forced her to withdraw more than 200 dollars from an ATM located in the City of Waynesboro.
The incident allegedly occurred between 8:30 PM and 8:45 PM on April 7, 2006 and was reported to Augusta County Deputies shortly after the suspect left the Apt, having returned there from the bank.
The woman reported that her boyfriend initially tried to gag her but she struggled and was able to briefly escape. He then obtained a pistol which belongs to the victim and threatened to shoot her if she didn’t get him money he needed to go to South Carolina from her bank account. She relented and rode with him to Bank of America where she withdrew an undisclosed amount of cash in excess of $200, gave it to him, and returned to the apartment with him.
The suspect then attempted to bind the victim’s hands and left the Apartment with the pistol and money, driving a 2004 silver Nissan 350Z. It is believed that he may be enroute to South Carolina due to statements made and subsequent phone contact with him.
Waynesboro Police have obtained warrants for Abduction, Robbery and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony on the suspect and charges have also been brought in Augusta County. The suspect is considered a fugitive and has been entered into the National Criminal Information Network (NCIC. ) Additionally agencies specific to the suspects direction of travel have been notified to be on the look out.
The suspect is identified as Kindall Lamont Adams, 29, of Brittany Lane Apts. Stuarts Draft VA. He is described as a Black Male 6’4”, 160 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair.
