Friday Feb. 2, 2007- About 3:15 am fire fighters where called out to a cabin on Vel-Mar Ln. Chief Mays was the first one on the scene “it was a ball of fire” he said. No one was home at the time of the fire and there where no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Update: Clothing was found around the fire place which may have been the cause of the fire. The fire had burned out the floor around the fireplace where the clothing had been found. Total loss are estimated at 50.000 dollars in damages. Owner of the cabin John H. White was dues have insurance on the cabin where his son was livingPhoto/Story Nathan Combs
