Armed Robbery - October 7

On 09/30/08 at approximately 9:33pm the Waynesboro Police Department responded to the Texaco Station located at 501 Rife road in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival officers were informed that a male suspect, wearing all black clothing, and a black ski mask displayed a silver handgun and demanded money from the store clerk. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money from the clerk the suspect then fled on foot heading North through the alleyway in the 700 block of Chestnut avenue.

Within minutes officers quickly established a perimeter and a Police K-9 began to track the suspect. The Police K-9 continued the track for several blocks through the alleyway but the suspect could not be located.

Nobody was injured as a result of the robbery.
