NEWS RELEASE
On November 8, 2007 the Staunton Police Department recovered all of the items
reported stolen on November 7, 2007 which included a Virginia State Police Badge, a
Waynesboro Police Department issued Glock model 22, 40 cal. semi-automatic pistol,
and duty belt.
Arrested in this case was Staunton resident, Daniel Jordan Goepel, w/m, 18 years of age He was incarcerated at the Middle River Regional Jail. A 16 year old male juvenile will also be charged in this case. The Staunton Police Department was assisted in the investigation by members of the WASSP Task Force.
