5,000 Turkeys Died In A Poultry House Fire - April 6

Friday 6, 2007 – 6:00 pm 5,000 turkeys died in a poultry house fire. Firefighters responded Coletown Rd. in Augusta County and tried to save the poultry house but, the fire had already destroyed so much of it the firefighters just keep the fire from spreading to the other buildings.

The barn was one of the five turkey barns owned by the Eye family. No one was injured in the fire. Officials say they don't know what caused the fire.
